You try to reach me but never do

Our meeting is an illusion

It is distance that completes me and you

For I am the sun of your horizon

You sail to come closer

Yet distance never fades

I send waves to win you over

You watch me set in colourful shades

The distance burns me every day

I cover myself to protect you

I scatter clouds your way 

And reveal my darkest hues

I do what not to make you look at me

I cast reflection and shadows to greet

But you are too busy to sail along the sea

The distance holds me back to meet

I know, we will not stay forever this way,

Distance provides us a clear view

The sun of your horizon shines far away
