Symbol Of A Priceless Love
Symbol Of A Priceless Love
A sign like no other,
Symbol of priceless love,
Loving me so much that you gave it all,
Oh! This love,
Who am I?
A mare mortal yet you left your throne,
Taking the form of a servant,
Humble and innocent you were,
As pure as crystal,
Blameless and blemishless like a lamb,
Spotless like a dove,
Loving and caring like a child,
What was your fault?
Yet you were bruised for my sake,
Chastised and ridiculed for a crime you did not commit,
But I forsook that love over and over again,
I am as ungrateful as a snake,
Unworthy to be called your own,
Each time I fall you pick me up,
Whenever I call you are there to answer,
Oh! I am but a sinner Lord,
In your anger remember mercy,
Hide not your face from me,
For without you I am an empty vessel,
I am the clay and you are the Porter,
Mold me, Lord, to the shape that pleases thee,
I was created as a symbol of your unfailing love,
Making me the apple of your eyes,
To portray your glory to the world,
Your grace is all I need,
My eyes look up to the cross,
A symbol of your love.
