Take Your Broken Heart

Take your broken heart and make it into an art 

Oh...my heart you mean 

Then yes, broken it is 

It was tender like that morning dew 

Prismatically shining all the light 

So pure and clear that you could see what's inside.

Only if I knew it'll be this way today 

Broken 

Magnanimously and ruthlessly 

Left to fend for it self. 

Only if I knew it's fate, 

I would have tenderly taken the dew 

Stored it with a little rain 

Beneath my bed 

Where it could laugh 

And hear all my bedtime stories 

Quietly without being judged 

Or alas broken. 

But as they say 

A broken heart means art 

The art you want to see, 

But never really make 

The art you want to appreciate, 

But never really take 

Coz as beautiful as it looks 

It always has a story to tell 

And mine too today 

Looks like this art 

Impeccable and sui generis 

Stitched and glued. 

But today let me thank all those who broke it 

Coz at all the places where it cracked 

It makes the light seep in 

After all, art it is my friend 

Maybe even a bit 

Afresh, new and 

Ah! A little more sunlit.
