That Night
That Night
Starlit lure, a wish's call, I found you there, so sweet, so tall. But coldness kissed your gentle smile, Confusion bloomed, a treacherous isle.
Kindness draped in lunar glow, Beauty whispered secrets low. My heart ignited, then took flight, Lost in wonder, bathed in night.
Yet shadows danced in distant gaze, A chilling doubt in starlight's haze. Can beauty hide a hidden thorn? Must I choose warmth, or be forlorn?
Stars may guide, but paths divide, Will love hold true, or fear preside?
This is the game I wish I would've won, for I wish to know if sweetness masks what burns.
