The Beaming Childhood of Ours
The Beaming Childhood of Ours
Went up and down,
In a trampoline.
Could still feel my giggles,
When it thumped me up again and again,
Wanting to go higher and higher.
Saw myself going round-and-round,
In a merry go round.
Me holding up my innocence,
And running all the way around,
That was the happiness I found within.
Hands flying while sliding down from a slide,
Still could feel the enthusiasm I had.
People looked at me and smiled,
No- I was not shy to respond to them with a smile from my heart.
Time varied and so me,
Still the younger self of mine is smiling,
Somewhere there within me.
