The Darkness That Is Mine
The Darkness That Is Mine
The lovely woods were haunting me,
The restless sounds strangely serene.
And though the dusk had gone to night,
My naïve heart still searched for light.
Some branches scratched my thoughts as they
Stopped me from searching for day.
And even when I tried to escape
My darkness pulled me in again.
I guess I must accept my fate,
Let love go to let in hate,
Must let darkness take over me,
Must let my demons rumble free.
The lovely woods were calling me,
Their darkness temptingly serene.
The point past saving isn’t far along,
For it’s been a while since I searched for dawn.
