THE FOREST INSIDE

Trudging on a path deep in a forest,

with the noise of loneliness humdrum in the ears.

Felt the thoughts to be slowing down,

as if were on the edge of sleep.

In the quest of searching for one who cares,

i hug my pillow tight.

Yearning for someone to hold me through this night,

only to wake up yelling,

realizing being scared of being insane.

It's getting harder to hide all the feelings built up here,

these demons are destructive.

Scooping the heart right out of the chest,

as this constant pain prevails.

My smile hide my tears,

my laugh hide my screams,

i hurt on inside.

Trying to push these demons aside,

wearing a mask that always beamed.

To hide the feelings behind a lie

their kingdom prevails!
