The Joys Of Sleeping…

After a stressed day of work,

I look forward to this little perk,

When I can unwind and chill.

It’s a break from my monotonous life,

It keeps me safe from my children and wife,

And all sorts of bizarre things happen.

Suddenly I’m hurled

Into my fantasy world,

Where everything is strange and unexpected.

I turn around a corner to find

All the planets in a row, aligned.

It’s an amazing sight!

I walk past my favorite food stall,

And turn around to find an ice-cream wall,

All around me are my favorite things.

I hear the roaring sound of the sea,

A clean vast beach lies before me.

I have some fun and relax.

Suddenly, the ground gives an enormous shake,

I am in bed, wide awake,

After a wonderful night’s sleep.
