The King and his Four Wives
The King and his Four Wives
In the vast lands of Suldentan
There was a king, brave and strong
He had four wives and 8 children
But being selfish was his only flaw.
The fourth wife had lovely eyes
As beautiful as cold winter dew
The king boasted a lot about her
And everyone said he was true.
The third wife had a perfect shape
She was slim, she was toned and tall
The king loved her a lot for the same
And comparing her to a waterfall.
The second wife had a body smell
The king could not do without
Her fragrance was like roses and tulips
She was extremely proud about
The first wife did not smell that good
Nor did she have glorious eyes or shape
The king wouldn't spend time with her
However, she never tried to escape.
One day the king grew real sick
He was still and weak, in his bed
The first wife took great care of him
While the other three wives enjoyed his wealth.
The king asked her, "Why didn't you leave?
I have always treated you so badly"
She answered, “Whatever you do to me
I will always love you selflessly".
The king then understood
He had done a mistake
But now being on his deathbed
It was too late.
The king then died in some moments
The wife was left heartbroken
Then slept into a sleep, from which
She could never be awoken.
