The Lost Battle
The Lost Battle
The day grew darker,
But clouds were not the reason,
Neither was it night…!
It rained cats and dogs,
But again, it was not rainy season,
And the Sun shone brightly..!
Broken was pain-barrier,
Still holding onto her tears,
Striking a pleasant reminiscence..!
Being her own warrior,
Trying to get rid of her fears,
With the slightest touch of innocence..!
Yet to arrive was that carter,
Battling all the way to the venue,
Where, holding her breath, she sat…
Waiting patiently for her Father,
And she had to continue,
‘Cause her Dad lost his Mortal Combat..!
Then, the Carter had arrived,
She hoped for a different result,
But, it couldn’t be undone…
Her mother stood there, speech deprived,
Every passing second grew difficult,
As Life played cards of pun,
And Death triggered its gun..!
