THE NIGHT WE MET
THE NIGHT WE MET
Cold breezes hit my face,
As I shrugged amidst the snow falling fierce,
My sore eyes searched for a familiar face, a familiar light,
I turned around clutching onto my arms for dear life,
A little rustle behind me, my ears told me there was,
Although I don’t remember hearing not the slightest whisper,
The smell that filled my nostrils, was not a thing I’d known ever did exist.
With a soothing scent of lavender, a match of the delicate snow and sandal it was,
A warm sizzle I felt pass down my chest,
As I gasped on the sight of what my eyes caught,
And for a moment all it deed seem was the sight of your ethereal face that was true.
I stood there watching your feet come closer to mine,
Frozen, until your cozy warm hands touched my body,
None if it was real, it all felt surreal,
There is not a way my heart could ever replace that night,
The night that we met.
