The Orphan

With lots of dreams in glittering eyes,

But no hand to support him rise.

Satiation of hunger is no bigger question

Than the desire to get spoonfed with affection.

Empty handed as toys and books , all snatched away.

Life is a game and alone he has to play.

Without any support and without a mentor,

He fights to survive like a traveller in chilly winter.

Keeping the luxuries of life at a distance,

The essence of his life is mere existence.

Considers himself as a weed in a nursery

Accompanied with thorns of loneliness and poverty.

Understands very well that life is knotty,

Still he is blissful and content with destiny.

Destiny doesn't make him eligible to commit the sins

Of abandoning his parents, when their old age begins.
