The Rain
The Rain
Tippling down from the eaves,
Like a wine glass overflowing its rim;
It drips down in a soggy embrace
Leaving a trail in its wake
It behooves it to whisper to the skies
That are droopy grey in their slumber
To awaken and resound with applause
At its dancing descent.
