The Search and it's Ending

You looked so beautiful in the morning,

Like a fresh fragrant flower,

Your almond shaped eyes so lustrous;  

It takes my breath away to see you,

You are a natural beauty.

Everything about you is exceptional.

Your hair a wave of darkness, frames

Your face of myriad emotions, reflecting,

Your happiness, sadness, smile, anger, 

 In kaleidoscopic versions of beauty, for, 

Beauty is you, and you are beautiful.

Your purity of mind is reflected in your face,

Your clarity of mind is reflected in your grace.

I saw you once and then you went away;

 I am searching for you every day,

Your beauty haunts me day and night,

I ask myself was your vision of beauty?

A mirage or was it a real sight.

For we search for beauty in our dreams,

Sometimes within our reach, sometimes elusive.

The vision of beauty that I saw that day.

Was it a dream or figment of my imagination

Was I living in a dream and she was the dream.

I stopped searching for her beauty, was not of this world.
