The Silent Dusk
The Silent Dusk
The sky turning blue black,
A yellow light illuminating the garden,
I sit on the swing and oscillate,
All that you said that day, I pardon.
Tiny drops of dew,
At the edge of grass blades,
Shine bright like pearls,
In the world of mermaids.
As I go back and forth on the swing,
I recall the days when my heartbeat,
With the rhythm and matched with yours,
The rhythm is lost and so are our meets.
I don't really remember your face,
All that I remember is the time,
That was long ago spent with you,
And calms my soul from salt and lime.
It has turned dark now,
There are twinkling pearls in the sky,
And not only on the ground,
But my heart is still in exile from the love of thy.
There are wounds that are yet to be cured,
And long for the application of salve,
I still wait for you to come back,
And embrace me in the warmth of your arms.
