The Things In A Gypsy's Basket

The Things In A Gypsy's Basket

I

To let her think of me alone,

last night I slept early;

but woke up this morning so tired

as if I hadn’t slept at all.

Her lips marks are on my neck,

on my back marks of her nails…

Please don’t judge us right away;

By what we have,

      if you take away having sex!

II

The most beautiful wind;

neither on polite leaves,

nor on any nation’s flag,

but when a woman releases her hair.

III

Everything in this small town

moves slowly:

Healthy people move slowly;

on the empty road,

        strong cars go slowly;

it takes days,

        making love…

And no one can see,

a dog run,

but trees,

       they are in a rush.
