The Truth Of Life
The Truth Of Life
I bring nothing when born
I take nothing when I leave,
So why am I getting so torn
By conflicts, pride, and peeve.
I want nothing but joy and peace,
This body and mind I have is on a lease,
And one day I will have to cease
To lay my claim to all these.
My wealth will be useless for me when I die,
So why not write a Will, when I am still alive.
Provide for my spouse, provide for my children,
As that's the string of duty yet left to tie,
The grave will be dug, the epitaph will be written,
But sharks will be stopped from fishing the pie.
