The Unconquerable

Ever since my childhood, I looked outside my window to see this mountain,

Climbing would always be something I craved for.

Time passed and climbing it became more of an aim,

I practiced and there came the day I was ready for the same,

Covered in the mist where the foothills of the mountains,

Causing more goosebumps were the mysterious snowy terrains.

Nevertheless, I started and tried only to be hit hard,

By the tsunami of the snow, protecting the peak as if a guard.

Reached back home after a week,

But my body, gave up, tired and bruised and weak.

My dream of ascending the peak was broken in my eyes,

All hopes and dreams ended up being nothing but lies.

Soon enough, I healed to walk and run again, 

But left in me was still that broken dream of mine.

My life existed but I wasn't living it anymore,

The dream stood in the fort of my eyes which I couldn't ignore, 

I just couldn't stop myself from raising hopes,

It won't be possible for people to tie my leg with ropes.

And again I went, the halo white elevation, still towering,

But this time, I came with a stronger will of ascending.

Nothing was strong enough to stop me this time,

And standing on top of the peak was when I realized, dreaming ain't a crime!
