The Unseen Phoenix

The Unseen Phoenix

In ancient whispers and the rustle of silk,

Where history's foundation was poured and set,

There lived the women, unseen, of their ilk,

In shadows deep, with stories unmet.

They were the keepers of hearth, the silent strength,

Bound by tradition's unyielding length.

In Egypt's sands, beneath the Pharaoh's gaze,

Women weaved through history's loom, subtle, wise,

With Isis' grace, they claimed their space,

In temples and homes, beneath expansive skies.

Yet, in the vast expanse of time's relentless march,

Their stories flickered soft, in history's parch.

The Middle Ages cast its lengthy shadow,

A tapestry dark, with threads of woe and might.

In castles and fields, their presence was narrow,

Yet in the silence, they nurtured the light.

In secret, they wrote, they loved, they fought,

In a world where their freedom was oft but a thought.

Then came the Renaissance, the rebirth of mind and art,

Where women's voices began to sing, softly at first.

In canvases broad and scientific charts,

Their brilliance burst forth, no longer accursed.

Yet, for every Da Vinci, a woman's genius lay hidden,

Her contributions were obscured, and her entry forbidden.

As industrial gears turned, and cities grew wide,

Women stood, steadfast, in factories dim,

Their hands building futures, their ambitions denied,

In a world racing forward, forgetting them.

Yet, they whispered of rights, of votes to cast,

A spark ignited, and their voices amassed.

The twentieth century dawned, on a tumultuous stage,

Wars and peace, a rapid, relentless age.

Women marched, they fought, for equality in wages,

Breaking chains, casting off the societal cage.

From suffragettes' cries to Rosie's rivets tight,

They claimed their place in the relentless fight.

In modern times, the battlefields have shifted,

Yet still, they stand, resilient, uplifted.

In boardrooms and courts, their victories gifted

To a new generation, their struggles lifted.

Yet the journey continues, for equity, for right,

In the glow of their foremothers' indomitable light.

So here's to the women, through ages long,

Who sang the unsung, resilient song.

From the shadows of history, they emerge, strong,

Their legacy is a beacon, vibrant and long.

For every woman's story, penned or spoken,

Is a chain of the past, forever unbroken.

Their journey, a phoenix, from ashes, it rises,

In every era, it wears new guises.

From ancient whispers to tomorrow's surprises,

The spirit of woman, forever, realizes

That is the heart of the struggle, inside the flames,

Lies the power to change, to redefine names.

So let's honor the journey, the long path trodden,

Of women, of warriors, in history's garden.

For their sacrifices have not been forgotten,

In their footsteps, we march, hearts unhardened.

The unseen phoenix, through time it flies,

A testament to resilience, under the vast skies.
