The Unsung Ones!

The Unsung Ones!

Literature lies in our soul, our body, our heart;

Since long it has been society's integral part;

Heroes here ain't any less,

With their mighty pens, they can create a mess.

A mess that is helpful, happy and gay.

Can surely keep the problems at bay.

One of them is our great Rabindranath Tagore,

Understood the literature, its value to the core.

Gave us our national anthem we sing with all the pride,

Because of it, we are one and allied.

Pen is mightier than the sword, we have always heard;

He justified it, so nicely that never was demurred.

Another one we had, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, he had said;

'Freedom is my birth-right and I shall have it.’

how could Britishers have hauled.

'Father of Indian unrest,’ he was a man well-read,

So headstrong our hero was, even the enemies dread.

A petty journal was the medium he used to awaken the feeling of oneness,

He shone because of it, the united feeling was so finesse.

Our land gave birth to a lot of heroes many of them unsung,

To our nationality, to our final aim of freedom, they strongly clung.

Let's acknowledge all those sung and unsung heroes,

Enlighten the ones who don't know about those

by whom our heritage was bedecked.

The ones who weren't enough praised,

Who achieved their goal they had so passionately braced.

Discovering ones' best side is one fine deed,

Heroes that excel a lot! That's the greatest need!

Let's pay adieu to all those insecurities,

Let's write our way to glory like all those dignitaries!
