The Valley In My Dreams

A lush-green valley

Often a night haunts my dreams.

It is breathtakingly beautiful

What with all those hills, rivers and streams.

Whenever I feel lost or down,

I just sleep and travel there

And before I know it, I’m lying on the soil,

Smelling the fragrant, damp air

The answers to my questions I get.

My mind becomes jocund again;

Problems are but disguised solutions.

And life is just ‘bout lose and gain.

Then someone wakes me up.

Harsh reality murders my peaceful sleep.

But surely I will come back to the valley.

At least, to have a peep.
