The Visionary's Dream
The Visionary's Dream
Trapped inside the walls of learning, where a white collar was the new theme
A dreamer gazed into the window of thoughts, struggling to realize his own dream
Escaping the shackles and succor of certainty, the outside world he admired
Stepping away from the puzzle of numbers, to seek the meaning he desired
Coming across the place he was born, he noticed a family in shame
Sighting them hold a tender young soul, he was clueless what was to blame
Disturbing image of a nearby victim he saw, acid dripping from her skin
A scar given by a man in pain, her heart he wanted to win
Rainbow colored queers he saw on the streets, asking for the right to breathe
Suffocated by the branches of arrogance, a holy book was the seed
He missed his friends in the hour of play, a test they couldn't ace
Two digits on a sheet of paper, brought their family disgrace
Returning home while the sun being set, to feel his heart take a swirl
Recognizing the young soul lifeless on a screen, at fault was being a girl
On and on he dreamt that night, running his train of thoughts
Getting closer and closer to the pattern, as he connected all the dots
Wanting to end all the pain and suffering, that damaged society like a thorn
Finding pride at the core of distress, a new visionary was born
Lifting the pen of modesty and humility, virtues he had an eye for
To illuminate the world with the light of reason, became his eager dream to die for.
