The Weathered rock

The Weathered rock

2 mins
39

Like the river flows with her own grace

We see some rocks in between with no trace

While addressing the beauty of the river

We often forget

The thrown rocks which are built with despair

With empowering perceptions

There are minds giving roots to the illegitimate sapling

These saplings are born with the seeds of misconception

It says empower the women,

But what about the rocks lying still in the flowing river.

Don't they have the right to shed a tear

Mumma's boy, right?

We often hear

Build up like a man, stop crying ..don't be a girl

With those ill speaking mouth yelling in his ear

Deep in his heart stayed all his fear

We see faces just faces not their hearts

Our father brother husband and friends

They all seem hard isn't

Have you ever peeked in their hearts yearning for love?

He may not be a vulture feeding over flesh but is surely a beautiful dove

Behind those masculine smile

There are weeping eyes hidden within the veil of betrayal

Their wrath comes out from the broken pieces of the heart turning pale

After the days of hardship and work

When he meets the night

He looks behind the darkness locked up in the night.

Mesmerised with some old memories He turns up in a small child

Lying in his mother's lap unaware that sweet berries often turn wild

But the rays of reality blurs his vision

And tells him he is a man who cannot cry

His heart is of a demon; rude and dry

Entangled in the world that mock

He tries to cope up and remain a rock

Weakening with the time as it passes

He builds his emotions from a glass

Which is shiny and transparent but shatters so fast

He bears all the pain hiding his blisters that exists since his long past

He is a glitter of her mother's eye

Superhero of a daughter's dream

He is a rock that captures all the dirt

But let the river to drive along its edge.

Feminism may be the river which flows but feminism is also the rock that retains and grow

So, let us sow the seeds of faith and trap the misconception in a lock

So that may grow a flower one day on the weathered rock
