They Had No Time

They Had No Time

When everything was sanguine, no one had ‘time’,

Dad being requested for picnic, devious through his workload, work became his prime.

Relatives though had thousands of words on phone accoutered properly,

But though they said I being their druthers, they didn’t even meet me annually.

While conversations with friends either upfront or on mic,

Cried they every then, about their busy, tedious life.

“No time for family” for them,

As how they can battle out pseudo-trammel, of duties, posed on them.

But for last one month, suffering from cancer,

I have been travelling and searching Doctors all around the globe, all along with my father.

And those same relatives who even didn’t meet me in parties and functions,

Packed their largess in their bags, and are coming to visit me, to express sympathy, and induce some sprightly mentions.

Those friends who rarely met their own families, came for me with every one of them,

Showing their limpid succor in the situation that has fallen upon me, and so I understand their love claim.

But discrepancy lies in the fact, that my father, my relatives and my friends are all standing with me holding my body and soul,

Yes, they are with me when I am dying but they had ‘no time’ when I was living my full.
