This Too Shall Pass
This Too Shall Pass
This too shall pass
Trust me, this too shall pass
Just be patient,
Just be disciplined,
And just be alert
Don't ignore it
I know, it's a small being
But the death toll in the world you see
The massive Great Wall couldn't stop it
The mighty Colosseum couldn't contain it
Nor could Tehran restrict it
It sees no riches
Nor does it see any religion, caste, colour or creed
The nature has interfered with our greed
And now we need to unite
And protect ourselves
Because if you protect yourselves,
You indeed protect your loved ones;
And tell them to protect themselves
This is a battle for the humankind
We will survive this calamity
All we need to do us get rid of our enmity
And develop a sense of belongingness
And of true social awareness
Then will rise one fine day
When our medics will rest
Our hospitals will be empty
And all humans safe in their nest
And we will roam the streets without masks
And hold our friends' hands
And throw large parties
Just now we need to be cautious of our tasks
Remember, this too shall pass
This tempest shall fade away
This night shall give way to the dawn
And rays of light will appear on the earthly lawn.
