Time

Time is like the vast universe,

That has no bounds, no end,

Which sometimes seems like an enemy,

And sometimes like a friend,

No man knows when time began,

Nor when it will cease,

Time can create and time can destroy,

It can bring unrest or peace,

Strange are the games that time seems to play,

Doing everything its own way,

For in bliss it seems to slip away,

And in sorrow, it seems to stay,

How I wish I could stop time,

At some precious moment of my life,

And feel the happiness of that moment,

For as long as I like,

Or gather all wonderful moments together,

And keep them hidden like a little treasure,

For when I shall be pensive in future,

I shall relive them with great pleasure,

But time is cruel, it brings old age,

Time is ruthless, it does not wait,

Yet it is a great power that rules us all,

For the time is something we can't stop nor create!
