To Neverland

He was sitting alone on the street, 

Then saw someone near his feet.

"Kid why are you out here alone?" 

Said the old man in a soft tone.

Holding a book in his hand,

He said "I'm going to Neverland"

"Oh! Do you know where is this place?" 

Said the old man with a smile on his face.

He replied "No I don't know, 

But I will search high and low"

The old man asked, "What is there in Neverland?" 

The boy opened his book so he could understand.

"In Neverland, you never grow old". 

With a bright smile, the child told.

"Why don't you want to grow?"

The man with wrinkles wanted to know.

"Because the adult world is truly bitter, 

And not colorful with sparkles and glitter".

The pale old man was now all ears,

As he witnessed the child talk about his fears.

"Their world is totally grey, 

I don't think I can stay".

"I hope you stay happy wherever you go." 

The old man smiled with a glow.
