Tolerance
Tolerance
On Sunday morning I chanced to meet,
A preacher there, across the street.
A man of God? A man of law?
A man spurious and sly saw,
By Mary's church seeming to dance
A fine lass labelled, ' Tolerance '
I asked her when she quickly strode
Thus, skipping down this human road,
Quickly she replied, ' I am she, who champions your liberty '.
Tolerance is a virtue, it uplifts the society
Tolerance is a requisite for peace and harmony
It's absence paves the way for fear, ignorance and inhumanity.
In this world of vices, it is a quality that must be imbibed
With its aid let us move forward, and build a world we desire.
