Topsy-Turvy Life
Topsy-Turvy Life
My own heart has betrayed me
A countless numbers of times.
For it has believed in things impossible.
It has trusted fire for not burning
And snow for not making it cold
But it realised one day
It was burning with cold.
Many a times it has said everything
Only if had it been aloud.
Nothing changes but the ache grows deeper
Remembering each vows.
There is darkness
Still in the pit of the night.
And I don’t see
A beacon burning
In my field of hope tonight.
At times the agony is more.
When a soul quest for its existence
Which is no more.
So, I wrangle myself out of nostalgia
And then I do,
What I ought to,
Grab a pillow
And sleep listening a song or two.
