Toxic Love
Toxic Love
The bright star next to the moon
Is actually, Venus.
But the moon was ignorant
Of this fact like most of us.
The moon thought stars are billion,
And thought Venus was one of the many, thus.
Venus admired the moon,
She was closest to him in the dark sky.
She felt secure beside him.
She thought they'll be together till they die.
But seeing the moon's ignorance,
Of despair, she let out a long sigh.
She unable to control her tenderness,
Confessed her love at last.
The moon laughed and told she wasn't pretty enough
to tempt him and was unworthy and outcaste.
Venus was broken, she never thought
Years of love could end so fast.
The moon is surrounded by billions of stars.
So he didn't find Venus unique.
The moon thought he's admired by many
So he deserves someone antique.
Venus was not his level he thought,
To him, the brightest star Venus was cheap!
Venus always stood beside him, even on the darkest of nights.
'Oh, moon- for you she's the one.'
But this proud moon
Fell for the Sun!
He wasn't in love.
To him, it was all fun.
