Turning Wheel
Turning Wheel
Quartzy auric-reef
sinking shaft into a stony creek
struck the corrugated rocks
baling out, calico and canvas
sewn and stitched hands in the tallow
wad and ram the tucked up bodies
loaded wheelbarrow,
budge and scooch of turning Wheel
sea bream,
scooped out the chaffing papers
smothering and spluttering colours
wedged, trailed, waggled, slit, and nicked
capering cat frolicking upon the windowpanes dodgy, drowsy,
and playing with the stinking kitten
whooping women in the mind-sulking time
spree player seems vicious
swoop up! it's your turn now,
yelped the slobbering
and loaded dog
all men are hysterical, lanky, and gangling,
all men are yapping, crawling, squawking,
empty the time, empty the mind,
empty the room, empty the bind,
crouched and scooch down
in the hired streets
and abandoned shanty...
