Under the Tree
Under the Tree
I was lying down under the shade of the mango tree.
A light breeze ruffled the branches.
The sun playing pee-ka-boo with me.
I close my eyes.
Trying to free my mind,
From the multitude of thoughts spamming my head,
All at the same time.
Suddenly, I felt a change
The air smelt different
There was a musty scent around me.
Droplets of sweat mixed with my tears were rolling down my cheeks,
Towards my neck....
Moistuning the golden heart pendant.
A memory of a long lost love...
I opened my eyes with a start!
The weather had completely changed.
Dark and heavy clouds,
Shrouded the mighty sun,
The droplets that was rolling down my face wasn't of my grief.........
They were the rejoicement of clouds
A drizzle at first - testing me.
I looked up and smiled.
Those lips that always trembled with hurt were surprised to have found a new curve......
There was lightening and then there was thunder...
I didn't budge..
I lay still under the tree...
Drenched in the cold shower...
I had endured the heat for too long
This was a message from above....
My love, you came into my life again ..
This time like rain.....
My heart was like a broken, drought land.
You made me bloom...
Into this beautiful flower that I am today!
