Unrecognized Struggle

Carrying loads of responsibilities on the head,

Always trying their happiness to spread,

They are boys yes they are the heroes,

They keep things in heart unsaid,

Their emotions are kept often unread.

They cry but never show their tears,

Unseen are the scars on their heart that need repairs,

They are taught since childhood to prepare,

To prepare for the life coming ahead,

They lie sleepless on their bed,

They dream but also do silent scream.

It is not easy to be a boy,

They live as a brother to make their sister annoy,

Rare are the times they deeply enjoy,

Surviving as a friend to share all the pains,

As a husband to share all the gains,

As a father to manage all the house,

As a son to do the knowledge browse.

They do face hardships in life,

But their own dreams are killed with a knife,

They too experience pain but hide it behind their smile,

Loads of stress it that they pile,
