Urbanization’s Cost

The sky, wrapped in a dense veil, 

Is gloomy today, its vibrancy is gone. 

In the scorching heat of summer, its allure fails, 

No vitality, no steadiness, no blossoms to fawn.

Urbanization's intoxication devours its spring, 

Taking the place of urban skyscrapers tall. 

The treasured melody is no longer within,

As the sky loses its charm and enthralls. 

The metropolis spreads without ceasing, 

Replacing nature’s green with steel and stone. 

The sky above, once a comforting peace, 

Now a distant memory, seldom shown.

But still, we dream of a brighter day, 

Where progress and nature harmoniously exist. 

A world free from dismay, 

Where the sky’s splendor is not missed.
