Abstract Drama Tragedy

We Suddenly Met

We Suddenly Met

2 mins
280

That evening, suddenly we met,

Unaware of my fate,

Earlier, I had seen her numerous times,

In that purple suit, which she defines.

As she walked along with her mother,

A slight difference made me bother,

Eyes had those same black glasses,

Mask on her face, sans lip glosses.

We passed by each other

The distance seemed like a light year

So far that it crosses the Milky Way

To a galaxy that is far more away

The needles of my watch came to a halt

Her glimpse was a meagre five seconds short

A known face I glanced with an unknown stare

A few questions I had to prepare.

Valiance I had lost,

I regained it at all cost

I initiated a chat,

How are you, this and that.

Seemed, she stared at the waning silver,

Through her south facing aperture,

Her face was sans emotion

My soul was long dead, only my soma in motion

Few were her answers,

Some were simply gestures,

She said, "Why talk so much?

We don't have anything to talk as such!"

I stared at the pitch black sky,

The night was moonlit, not was mine.

To my surprise she called me towards her,

Told me she, "Do we really have time to mar?

I have to go a long way, you will go a distant mile,

We will never meet again, please put up a smile?"

Unanswered questions I had a few

I needed some answers, maybe she knew

"I have a question, will you answer truly?"

Sweet was her reply, "Most definitely!"

Looking at the clouds that hid the silver gleam

I asked her...

"Has our golden days gone forever? Don't we have

Anything left for us to dream?"

For a moment, she kept silent,

Then came her reply, quite so evident!

"All the stars in the darkness of the night,

Remain hidden in the brightness of daylight..."

An ambiguity took charge of my sub conscious self,

Did I just hear something only to console myself?

She now walks a path very long,

I walk my path, all alone.
