Drama Horror Tragedy

What kind of Red was it?

What kind of Red was it?

Crimson, Scarlet, Ruby, Garnet, Blood,

What kind of red was it? I don’t know.

All I know, it was flowing, so beautifully,

Such a perfect, graceful, swirling motion.

When mixed with water, more pretty,

So riveting, my cold heart appraised it.

The pristine floor was almost covered,

How much more was there left in me?

My fight was draining with it as quickly.

I have lost this war, no more conflict.

It was over, no more pain to inflict.

This war wasn’t mine to win or lose,

I fought this for freedom, but whose?

It’s so cold but, so freeing and quiet,

Where was this place? It feels so right.

I sigh as I lie limply, my arms are numb,

To the darkness, I let myself succumb.

I let it slowly pull me down into itself,

Claiming me till I can no more feel myself.

This is my heaven and hell, I smile wide,

This is my sanctuary; I don’t have hide.

To this selfish world, I finally don’t owe,

This is the truth, my heart has to know.
