When I Look At The Mountains

When I look at the mountains,

I think about what I see,

how many people crossed it,

due to destiny.

When I look at the mountains,

I think about those people.

And what made them cross.

Was she fleeing persecution?

Was she traveling for opportunities?

When I look at the mountains,

I wonder about the stories,

which remain untold,

Was he looking for a job?

Was he mining for gold?

When I look at the mountains,

I see the rising sun,

which shows the hope,

of those who try to cross,

who had dreams and admirations
