Why can't she?

Is a girl meant to be like that only?

Just letting her complete basic education,

That too- if she's following home constitution. 

Why can't she be Globetrotter?

Apart from being a faithful daughter? 

She's not yet out of her home, 

But is expected to be flawless 

To build somebody's home. 

Why can't she have her career?

With no household barrier? 

Her life journey is yet to begin,

But she's endowed with a fresh responsibility 

Of looking after her Kith and kin. 

Why can't she have her own identity?

Apart from the one of her husband's commodity? 

Why has she to be protected,

By her father, husband, son or brother?

Can't she be her own protector? 

Society has already,

defined a woman's purpose 

Of getting her children school ready. 

Isn't she meant of have a meaningful life?

Apart from being somebody's good wife?
