Wind’s Lullaby
Wind’s Lullaby
‘Hush’ said the wind, and brought some berries to my lap,
Kissed my forehead, and took me to a sweet little nap.
Oér, the hills and dales she said,
Where the leafy paradise laid.
Through which jewel-blue river run,
Beneath the golden shimmering sun.
The heavens in its brightest glow,
With the clouds drifting light and slow.
And squirrels scampering high and low,
For some nuts to pass the snow.
While the redbreast sings its melody,
On the hand of the ebony,
When the hares the hop around in gay,
Under Apollo‘s golden ray.
Where there is nature’s bliss,
Each and every moment is.
Goodness and beauty in every peep,
Hidden in my sweet little sleep.
