Wings Of Imagination

What is imagination? I wondered

For long hours I pondered

Only letting my mind wander

Into the faraway, dreamy lands.

Steaming pools of molten lava

Looked at me with malicious eyes

Cringing to the thoughts of devouring me

Which pleased their burning spirits

Dazzling sunbeams welcomed my arrival

Pleasantly sparkling all the way

Hailing me as their queen,

They called upon me to address the creatures

Stepping on the path of moonbows,

Curtained with tree blossoms

The new world startled me

As I went to the castle of nature

As I was about to step on the throne,

I heard a voice breakthrough

My land was breaking down,

Next moment there were only pieces of the castle

The voice of my mother,

Giving me a penny for my thoughts,

It was only then I realized,

Here I was seeking for imagination

While imagining all the time!!

Wings of imagination,

Spread wide, fly high,

Carrying you with it to outlying lands

Bringing you gems of untold fables and enchanting stories.
