Words of an Acid Attack Survivor
Words of an Acid Attack Survivor
I cried and sighed for days altogether,
My life was veiled and didn't seem to get any better
A burning face and a history so bitter
Life said never, for a moment of pleasure
A curse for a day, spite for a second
Hell was here and bound around
All my strength was drained out, and down
A drop of acid had now made a permanent frown
When should this all end? With my life and esse?
No, I said, with a firm and vibrating press
I won't give up, I won't compress
Just a few more days and life will caress
