WRAPPER

My daughter,

Who lives far far away from me,

With her hubby;

Sends me often,

Costly boxes of expensive

European chocolates !

She knows I like chocolates,

As I know she does !

She cares my taste.

But in my struggle days,

When she was a kid,

I never cared or noticed her taste.

She was crazy for chocolates !

In fact I gave her always bait;

And rarely a bite of chocolate !

Every time she used to

Let out the sigh of despair silently,

Without letting me to know.

As she was untimely

Mature to perceive my reality !

So I could never listened

To that sigh.

After her marriage, once I found

Her school notebook.

I saw a wrapper of her favorite

Dairy Milk chocolate,

Kept with care in an envelope !

Since that day,

My guilty conscience

Does not let me allow to unwrap

Those chocolates sent by her !
