You Think I Am Blind?

You Think I Am Blind?

You said you liked me,

You spoke to me for hours,

You ignited a spark,

I thought we were mad lovers.

One day we decided to catch up,

I sat for hours, drinking, smoking, waiting.

But I only got high,

When I saw you slowly walking.

You sat behind me, I was ecstatic,

But to not show I was trying,

Yes, I was on the ground,

But inside, I was flying.

The day was good, yes it could be better,

Because I don't know how to impress girls, because I'm a naive,

But that day I made a silent promise,

That the next time we met, you'd have no complaints.

You said we'll meet again, you made me believe,

You gave me hope, that I'm carefully nurturing,

I waited, I longed, I yearned,

For all the excuses you made, the only gift I got was suffering.

Friends and brothers gave me advice,

But when a man is in love, he loses his mind,

And now I see what you're doing to me,

Do you think I'm blind?

I have your memories, stored in my heart,

And everything you sent, I've kept them carefully,

So when I miss you, I look at you,

But now I'm done, don't worry I'll do you no sully.

I have only one question, and it's not silly,

Why didn't you ever tell me, and made me wait, night and day,

I wish there were laws for hearts too since people break it so easily,

Just one word and I'd have silently walked away.

No more there's left, neither love nor anything to say,

I'm broken, I'm shattered, I know I'll get better, one day at a time,

But when you're all alone, and someone does the same,

You'll remember me, you'll want me, yet you won't even get a smile
