Once a king sent a royal decree throughout his kingdom asking children of all ages living in his kingdom to tell him; “what they would do if he gave them 1000 gold coins? “

He said it's a must for every single child to take part in it and its the duty of every courtier, learned man, village and town head to ensure every child does take part. This ensured that the royal post card was given to each single child living in all the villages towns and cities of the kingdom.

soon the king's royal postmaster flooded the king's palace with letters from various parts of the kingdom. the king ordered all his courtiers to arrange all the postcards village wise towns and cities and to ensure they are all arranged in the alphabetic order. he made the courtiers and the learned men to start reading the letters out and many of the spoke about earthly things, house, land, giving some one, change their lifestyle, chocolates and many more similar thoughts. for nearly a week now the king has been listening to thousands of postcards been read but the satisfaction was not there he still did not feel anyone deserving the reward.

suddenly one courtier starts laughing aloud and everyone in the court is still and there only his laughter echoing around. the king gets very angry stands and says in a loud voice "what is need to laugh at a child's postcard" The king is fuming and tell the royal guard to lock him in the cell below.

He tells another learned man to take the postcard and read it out. he said my lord it really touching he said as he read the words in his mind before reading it out loud and smiled and I read it out it said "if I get the 1000 gold coins, I would buy parents" the king was taken aback by what was written and said how innocent the child was the king ordered one of the courtiers to escort the child from where ever he was to the palace.

The courtier along with the royal guards left to summon the little child before the king. the child was received from an Ashram he was just a boy of five had lost both his parents when he was three, so he was put in the Ashram to study and lead his own life.

The little boy entered the court where the king was seated when the king seen him, he was touched he asked the child tell me, my child what made you write it and how did you think that you can buy parents with gold coins. the kid said his friends told him that his parents sold him because there were poor and needed money. the king was taken back by the innocence of the child the child never knew his parents had died two years ago the king asked him do you know what happen to your parents?

The child said no. then the king said my child they are in paradise a beautiful place where someone goes to after they die, they love you very much that's why they put you in the Ashram because they knew that you would get everything you needed for yourself till you grow. the child was crying innocently all the courtiers and everyone in the court were moved by what they just witnessed.

suddenly the queen whispered something in the kings Ears everyone was curious to know what the queen was whispering into the kings ears the king stood up called the next him and asked him do you really want parents he said in a very heartful childish way ‘yes’

the king carried him and said in a loud voice he said you all know you for a few years now the queen is unable to conceive and bear a child so God had blessed us with a new child who will be the heir to my throne and everything I inherited. everyone was overwhelmed and a loud cheer and clapping went around the court room.

The queen was overjoyed to have a son who would call her mother from now. she took the boy and went into palace to show him his new room and the life he is going to be living. the boy who became a prince lived happier than ever in the palace.
