Stories are the oxygen of life.

We all tell stories whether knowingly or unknowingly but it always makes living our lives bearable!

When I was a little girl, I used to lie a lot. I was scared of being slapped or worse so I preferred to lie as I was too young to understand the consequences of my little lies.

Once, when I was ten years old, I was playing with my friend when she told me that my mother had left me alone in the park and had gone back to our house which was a little far away from the park.

I started crying as I felt that my mother didn't love me as she had forgotten me in the park.

I started running towards my home even in the middle of the road. I reached my home and saw a huge lock outside my house.

I got confused and ran back towards the park where I saw my mother asking my friend if she had seen me and she told her that she had no idea where I was.

I told my mother about her lie and my mother told me,

"See, how serious damage a simple lie can do so from now onwards promise me that you will never lie to me!"

I promised her and since that day onwards I always shared my true story with her just like I did with all of you.
