At the time when coronavirus disease in the world is rife we can very easily witness that people around us are behaving like wild animals. Pretty much every day we witness or come across news and bulletins that, for example in the water-deficient areas of our nation when the government sent water tankers to help the thirsty in need, people there pounce on the tanker while the tanker is in motion so that they get most of the water for “themselves” only. In the “SO-CALLED” developed western countries who take the pride of being the best in human behaviour and manners, people are fighting among themselves to get hold of things and many are stocking the goods for themselves and their families. In all these situations we all forget that first of all we are humans and not independent of each other. Actually being independent is a misnomer; as no one can be independent, only that person can be independent who remains the last one to survive among all humans as there may be no one alive in that case for him to depend upon. In short, the time has come to teach about duties in our schools and impose such duties for each of us because there are enough rights which taught us nothing more than how to be free and express ourselves which is naturally available to all beings.

Governments gave rights to people for their individual and moral development which backfired and made them self seeking and self-serving, even if someone is in need they just pass by him without even taking note. Since long governments have been marketing and projecting voting right as the paramount right for an individual and people also take it as we can see how large crowds go for casting their vote; why not teach children and make people aware of their duties towards other people and society. Humans of the present age just don’t want to follow rules and if made to follow things they use different rights granted to them as a shield for protesting; they don’t want to go behind the scene and consider why the authorities want to make them follow rules or regulations. In this global virulent corona crisis when almost everything is standstill, we can make a new start because we are already into having a low economic growth and poor/stagnant international trade so the fear to make a new beginning at economic cost is nonexistent. It must be done for new generations to come. Let us make our future more duty-bound towards themselves and society rather than only rightfully free.
