ACADEMIC YEAR 20-21

Last year of schools are supposed to be fun, but it wasn’t, I don’t remember doing anything at all this year. We did not hang around with friends, we missed all the school pranks, missed long breaks, the most bunking classes! Annual days were ruined, sport days never happened, and all the other school events were cancelled due to the pandemic. We never really got the opportunity live the last year of our school. Our mind that was usually filled with creativity slowly started to die, not many took interest in studied as it was impossible to concentrate online.

Our school finally opened for a short period of time, where in free periods we spoke about the craziest things we had done over time. Mine would have probably been jumping out of the school gate during the school hours. We did discuss about the hope of having a graduation day, but that hope did not last long within few weeks it was gone. Soon enough it was time for our pre-boards, where in many understood where and why they had lost marks, I was easy on myself, hoping to correct where I had gone wrong in the upcoming board exam which was soon announced to be cancelled. To me this only meant that I would never get another chance to correct myself and I would be stuck with those mistakes for a long time. These, were not the thoughts of me alone, but the thoughts of many 10th graders who really needed a second chance, a chance to improve themselves and correct their mistakes.
