Adjustment

One of my friends, Sandhya, recently get married, today she visited her mother’s house for the first time after marriage. As it happens between neighbor friends, I invited her at my place.

She came very excitedly to meet me. When I ask about her whereabouts in a new house and family, she had a lot of complaints about everyone and different lifestyle. For her, this coming home was like a visit to heaven.

I was able to understand her problem but couldn’t find the right way.

She saw me thinking something so thought that I might not be interested in her conversation so just to change the topic she asked me, “Hey Kalpana! What about my fish which I transferred to your fish pond before marriage?”

“Oh yes! Let’s find out...”

“There are only 2 left out of 6!” she screamed after seeing the pond, “what happened to them?”

“Actually only these two were able to adjust in a new environment.”

The brightness on her face was prominent enough to say that she has got the message, the message for her life.
