Aim On....

Aim On....

Dear Diary George,

I am sitting in the balcony sipping my morning tea. The weather today is too good for words. I can feel the slow breeze sweep past me and hear the rustle of leaves. A breeze touches everything, isn't it? Even you and your pages. There were some baby feathers pouring from the sky, quite early in the morning. My garden is moist and lively. There is soft sunshine, which give me the warmth of God's love.

During the days when I was preparing for my exams, I used to long for a time when I'll have nothing much to do and won't be tense and busy now that I've got that life, I feel its too boring and unproductive. But, as I look around, I see many people who are idle for months and years altogether. The time I longed for, a few days back, is the time I dread now.

God gave life, as a gift to all. The way we use this gift is our gift to Him. We need to aim. We need to stick to our goals. We need to work hard and do something to make our presence felt in the sea of 1.3 billion people. If we don't, then we are simply one among millions of people who woke up to life, lived it according to their own whims and fancies, put up a lot of excuses and then slept. The day we stop aiming, we stop being grateful for his gift of life. Perhaps, people waste this gift just like people wasted food before this lockdown was imposed. It seemed not too valuable at that time.

A baby aims to communicate, first by crying and eventually learns to speak words and sentences. Later, the child aims to learn the art of writing, reading and walking. But then, as time passes, people get caught in the world of fights, rivalries and other stuff that they stop aiming...and eventually lose, unable to carve their niche.

This thought was floating in my head for quite a long time. George, thanks for helping me pour it out to you......goodbye!!!!
