An Ideal Son

Shravan Kumar was a boy who was born to very poor and blind parents. His parents strived hard to raise him up. With the passage of time, Shravan Kumar grew up to become a young boy while his parents became old and weak.   Shravan Kumar always obeyed his parents and also loved them a lot. He worked hard and took full care of his parents. He always tried to keep them happy.  One day, his father told him,"Son, you know that we both have become quite old and may not live for long. It is our desire to go on a pilgrimage tour to some of the holy places. If possible, make the arrangement for the same."Hearing this, Shravan Kumar replied, "I will try my best. please give me some time to think about it".  That night, Shravan Kumar thought, "my parents are old, weak and blind. How can they go to such far off places?"However, he felt that it was his duty to fulfill their wish. Suddenly an idea struck his mind.  The next day, he took a strong bamboo pole and tied two big baskets at both ends. He made his parents sit in the basket, carried the bamboo pole on his shoulder, and started for the pilgrimage tour.  Though he knew that it would prove to be a tough task, he was happy that he was fulfilling the wish of his parents.
